For all the crazy that was last week, this week has been equal amounts of hard. Hard things to process, hard things to do, and hard being away from the besties and family.
For all the hard that was this week, after playing T. Swift’s Shake It Off really really loud on repeat, I’m doing just that…shaking it off and moving on.
The fact that my sweet husband invited his three sick children and wife to a public place for lunch in the midst of his busy day, just to get his wife out of the house (and probably sweatpants) helped.
And my best friend messaging me that she made a print for me to sell as a fundraiser…that helped too.
Those people that show up and rally around you in the midst of those crazy and hard weeks…those are the best people. Even if my people live hundreds of miles away, I am oh-so grateful for them today.
So…the first adoption fundraiser.
My bff and I chat often about our feelings of inadequacy in motherhood. How this crazy job exposes our lacking. To help herself (and others), she designed this gorgeous reminder that we are exactly who God wants to parent our kids. In a couple of colors. And the only way you can get the print is to contribute to our adoption fund. Simply visit the link on the right, donate a minimum of $10, and leave a comment below, on my Facebook page, or instagram page with your email and color choice.
I will email you the file, of which you simply download and print (recommended on card stock), or have some place like Office Max print. It’s an 8×10, and if you print on larger paper may need to be trimmed down. You can print the file as many times as you choose, but it’s for personal use only.
This was a sweet reminder for me as this week I’ve felt so not enough. Not enough to do all the things that need to be done to get our girl, not enough to parent my own kids, and just not enough. As much as I hate those feelings of not being enough, they push me into the arms of a Savior who reminds me I’m enough in Him, and in His strength. Maybe you need this reminder for your own life…maybe you know someone you need to take this to…either way I hope you’ll find encouragement from this! Relying on this reminder as I finish out this week!
